Resident Testimonials

"My family and I would like to give many thanks to Temple Hills Fresh Start for blessings for my family and I in our time of dire need. They assisted us with transitional housing, food, job referrals, and other resources, as well as a church home referral. If it had not been for THFS, we might still be living in our car."

- Tina R.

"I was homeless and living in a shelter until I connected with Temple Hills Fresh Start.  They provided a temporary room and bed for me. While in the shelter we moved from place to place either weekly or bi-weekly. THFS was a Godsend because I had a consistent roof over my head. I was able to transition much quicker than I thought and will be ever grateful to the transition house for helping me to see the light at the end of the tunnel."

-Linda M.

"I had a job, a car, and a nice apartment, then life happened. I eventually lost it all. I was sleeping in my car until I lost my job and then my car. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be a resident at Temple Hills Fresh Start. I now have two jobs and a car, and I’m currently working with one of the partners to become a first-time home buyer. Look at God!"

- Janice S.

"I found myself in a situation away from my children and my family. I had to relocate miles away to help a family member and eventually became homeless. Temple Hills Fresh Start provided a warm bed for me. It was not the ideal situation, but I was not on the street or in a shelter. I’m back home now with a brand new apartment and reunited with my children."
